Today is President George W. Bush's last day in office; tomorrow is President Obama's first day. I thought this historical moment deserved a touch of poetry:
Ode to Dubya's last day as Prez: Bye, Bye Bush-ey Boy. You left the country sick and frail... and your closet friends rich as hell.
Ode to the Odious: Goodbye to Dick, so aptly named; torture gamed, nothing gained, VP job forever changed. Our big regret is that we met.
Ode to Obama: You are not God, this is true, but god-like wonders we beg of you. Up to bat without a ball, "yes we can" after all!
Here's wishing my countrymen the very best of luck in the very worst of times. God Bless America!

I liked this. And it was cool in the twitter feed too. Iambic pentameter is child's play compared to creating 140 characters of poetry.
